We were asked to build a brand for a new restaurant filled to the Stetson hat with characteristics of the old. What was to come was a modern interpretation of a roadhouse BBQ joint with a dusting of lovably, twangy honky-tonk. The visual identity and physical environment borrowed classic standbys found in the trademarks of vintage whiskey and moonshine bottles. Nothing forced. Nuthin’ too fancy. Just a non-pretentious take that combined whiskey culture with Nashville comfort grub and a light-hearted sarcasm that became the hallmark of what to expect from the new-old kid on the block.
